Rented a yukata for an event that my friends and I attended in Meguro. I personally chose this shop because it’s just a bus ride away from our place. Initially, we opted for the standard set but eventually ended up getting one level higher than standard (with nicer designs and fabric). It wasn’t that busy when we went there at 9:00 AM, so we had enough time to pick colors and accessories without feeling pressured, and the people who assisted us were friendly too; which was a relief for a foreigner like me.
They have a lot more selections for hairstyles, etc., but those require an additional payment, so I chose the ones that were free of charge (hairstyle and accessory). If you want to make your look more elegant and stylish than what I had in the picture I shared, go ahead and get those top-ups.
I returned the rentals around 4:15 PM. If I remember correctly, return time is until 5:30 PM, but I’m unsure if they impose a penalty after 5:30 PM.
We had a fantastic experience at Vasara who were incredibly helpful and provided an excellent service. It was a brilliant experience being able to wear traditional Yukata!
